Introduction
Welcome to Mustard Books. We offer book typesetting and cover design services. If you have written your own book and have chosen the self-publishing route, we can look after the book layout and cover design side of the process. After all, once you’ve done the hard work writing your own book you’ll want to make sure it looks just right once your book is published.
Mustard Books is a wife and husband team with more than 20 years’ experience working with authors and publishers as Book Create Service (we really needed a better name). We will layout your paperback, hardback, or eBook for you to submit to publishers or printers. By using our book layout services and/or book cover design services you will have a professionally laid out book. You will then be able to submit them to publishers such as Amazon, Ingram Spark, or any other self-publisher or printer.
We believe that good books deserve careful production, thoughtful presentation and a little attention to detail.

Typesetting
Every book is different, and every author has different needs.
Once your manuscript is finished you will need to transform it into a printed book. We can help create a professional looking book that would be indistinguishable from any mainstream published book on the shelves of Waterstones or W.H.Smiths. Chose one of our professional typesetting services to have your book personally laid out in an attractive and reader friendly style. Create a book design which is an enjoyable experience and pleasure to read.
If you have a preference in the way your text is laid out then we can accommodate that into the book design.

Cover Design
It can be very daunting to try and think of an idea for your book cover design. This is the first thing people see of your books and you need to draw them into picking them up.
The best place to start is with your books genre, look at as many published books in your genre and see which covers you like. Go to your local bookstore and see what covers jump out at you. Whether it is the font, images or colours. Think about the themes, places and ideas within your book but try to think in the abstract and don’t get too fixed on a single precise image. Take an image of them and set up an ideas board. If you are into using Pinterest you could set up a board and just ‘pin’ any ideas or you could just take a picture of anything you like. Once you have your ideas together we can start to design your cover.
If you have already got your cover completed but you need help fitting to your printers specs then we can help with that too.
